Where Champions Build Champions
ALITE WEAR was built on one of the most unlikely stories in competitive bodybuilding. Our founder, Ali Bilal, was born in 1994 in a small village in Afghanistan. At just 13 years old, he left everything behind — crossing deserts, borders, and thousands of kilometres on foot — until he reached Belgium. He arrived with nothing. No language, no money, no plan. What he had was discipline, and an unshakeable belief that hard work changes everything.
In Belgium, Ali discovered the gym. The iron became his language. He learned to read as an adult, mastered seven languages, and channelled every difficult moment into building a physique that would eventually compete on the world's biggest stages.
from refugee to elite pro
Ali Bilal made his international debut at the 2018 IFBB Amateur European Championships. He never stopped winning. By 2019, he had taken first place at the Arnold Classic Europe Amateur, the Nordic Cup, the Diamond Cup France, and multiple European titles — all in a single year. In 2022, he won the Arnold Classic UK Men's Physique division as an IFBB Elite Pro, becoming one of the most respected competitors in the world.
His conditioning — particularly his trademark obliques and vacuum — became his signature. In 2024, Ali placed 2nd at the Mr. Olympia, the biggest bodybuilding show on earth. His story went viral worldwide: the Afghan refugee who walked to Europe and stood on the Olympia stage.
why alite weat exists
After years of competing at the highest level, Ali had one persistent frustration: board shorts built for Men's Physique competitors simply didn't exist. The shorts on the market were either poorly constructed, not IFBB and NPC approved, or designed by people who had never stood on a competition stage. As a result, countless athletes were showing up to their biggest moment in gear that didn't perform.
Ali founded ALITE WEAR to fix that. Every pair of shorts is designed from the ground up for stage performance — cut to enhance the V-taper, made from premium 4-way stretch fabric that holds its shape under competition lighting, and built to meet full IFBB and NPC approval standards. These aren't gym shorts with a label. They are competition board shorts, designed by a competitor, for competitors.
built for champions worldwide
Today, ALITE WEAR ships to athletes in more than 25 countries. Our shorts have been worn on stages at the Arnold Classic, the Mr. Olympia qualifiers, NPC Nationals, and regional competitions around the world. Whether you're stepping on stage for the first time or competing at the pro level, ALITE WEAR gives you gear that matches your preparation.
Ali Bilal's journey — from a village in Afghanistan to the Mr. Olympia stage — is proof that preparation and discipline can overcome anything. That same philosophy is built into every pair of ALITE WEAR board shorts we make.
Train hard. Compete harder. Wear ALITE.
